Opa! (Gangnam Style) at Cyma

Image
Haha! Sorry for the corny title. Roy and I just couldn't help saying "Gangnam Style" after the servers in Cyma deliver their signature "woooOpah!" each time they serve a flaming dish. So anyway, for our 46th wedding monthsary, we chose to eat at Cyma Shangri-la Plaza branch. We didn't take photos nor checked in through our phones because we just wanted to eat and it was a great experience because we weren't so attached to updating the whole world about it. Roy was even in his pambahay. haha! Kaya pala walang photos no? lol. Here's what we had: photo credit: http://newsph.nowplanet.tv/?p=85377 ROKA SALATA photo credit: http://www.blogalag.com/blog/2008/05/opa-at-cyma.html PAIDAKIA photo credit: foodspotting.com GREEK ONION SOUP photo credit: foodspotting.com CHICKEN AND SEAFOOD YIOUVETSI Roka Salata is my favorite and there was even one time when we ate at Cyma Shang and we just ordered that salad. Me, the Kaladkarin Valentine

Image
I was too tamad to plan for this day so I just went with the flow. Even though I feel that Valentine's day is overrated and it's just some scheme to make people spend, well the men that is, I truly truly appreciate what my husband did for V day to make me feel happy, special and soooo loved. Since it was a working day, we met after work and he surprised me with a bouquet of red roses. I was kinda expecting and hoping (still) that he'd give me flowers. So I was really really happy and close to tears when he gave me this beautiful bouquet and goodies from the Body Shop. Being the kuripot person that I am, I wasn't able to resist myself from asking how much the bouquet was since I heard in the news that prices have doubled, tripled etc. Of course, Roy didn't tell me how much it was dahil hindi ko na nga naman maeenjoy ang gabi (kaka-compute.) Haha! And, since I'm on a healthy lifestyle change, I invited him over to Kitchen at Greenbelt 3 so he can try my second f...

Old Vine Grille by Chef's Quarter

Image
Being on a "diet" doesn't mean I have to deprive myself of the yummy things in life, right? So, still in compliance with the 3333 meal plan, I looked up the list of best salads in the metro for our next monthsary date. Here's the list from Spot.ph Yummy salad = Low EQ. Hence, the monthsary was celebrated muuuuch earlier. We chose to taste #1 and off we went to the Old Vine Grille in Eastwood for their best-seller.    Tessie Tomas salad (P680)  Babyback Ribs (P495) + extra Potato Wedges (P75)   umi-interior shot    "Let's always go for #2 n nga."

Le Bistro Vert

The fascination for groupons started several months ago with my purchase of the Bagnet voucher. Discounts make me happy. :) After that purchase, I was already actively searching for useful deals. This one was bought from the Deal Grocer site. I regularly check this site because its partner merchants are somehow exclusive. Pangmayaman. Ü Roy and I like exploring new flavors and off to Le Bistro Vert we go! To celebrate our 30th wedding monthsary (yes we "celebrate" monthly), we used our dealgrocer voucher. So, here's what we chose.  Cassava chips while waiting (free!)  Spiced Pumpkin (PhP155) this one was really yummy. :)  LBV Signature Salad (PhP295) main thought: kung ito na ang best-seller, ano pang lasa ng iba? White Oriental Mushroom Linguine (PhP350)  this, i can say, is one of the best white sauce pastas I've tasted.   Slow Cooked Corned Beef with brown rice (PhP350) flavorful. bitin nga lang ang rice.   ...
